PLAY (outdoors)

Driven by the powerful sound of a one-woman band, four dancers surprise the audience on their journey through different states of play. Between order and chaos, emergence and disappearance, they compose their bodies in close proximity to the public, challenging our notions of power, intimacy and community. Gravity meets weightlessness, density meets permeability, falling meets flying.

Mirjam Gurtner's latest work combines dance and live music to create an interdisciplinary open-air performance marked by improvisation. Music, bodies and environment blend, the audience and the location are part of the composition. How much regulation and how much freedom does a society need? Can co-existence be rethought in play?
